Default Adjustable CAMS How do to adjust???

I just got some adjustable cams and a new intake manifold. I want to adjust the cams to allow more air in since basically that's what I bought the intake manifold for, but I don't know how to adjust the cams? Should I retard them or advance? and plainly how do you adjust the cams? Help is appreciated......

do you have new camshafts as well? i wouldnt bother adjusting them if you still have the stock cams. and if you dont know what you're doing, let a professional do it, on the dyno.

A typical tune is an advanced intake cam and a retarded exhaust cam. Most motors like the intake advanced 4-5 degrees and exhaust retarded 1-2 degrees. Try this and if there is no power gains, return it to stock neutral timing.

from my experience, that's not the case for VTEC cams. Generally you'd want to advance both the intake and exhaust cam for VTEC.

Id recommend doing this on the dyno, though. It really helps to see the tq curve, instead of relying on the butt dyno.

Yeah, I was just referring to a general guideline. Of course this should all be done on a dyno to find out what your car likes best.
