how do you check the codes? is that where you use a paper clip in stick it in the harness(es) located under the glove box? i would like to know how to do it in case i run into this problem w/ my 97 accord. if so, how do i decipher the codes? how do you know the codes are P0304? sorry, i'm a newbie. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
P1259 is a VTEC system malfunction.
- Make sure you're not low on oil.
- Check wiring for your VTEC oil pressure switch & VTEC solenoid.

The codes you get by jumpering the SCS connector are simple 2-digit codes. When you plug in an OBD-2 code reader (like AutoXone does) you get these codes. P1257, P1258, & P1259 would be code 22 if you used the jumper/flashing-light method.
