Default is the waterpump that impotant?

now that I have your attention i have this really smooth running 1990 acura integra it runs so nice for about 2- 5 minutes depending on the weather.Then it just wont move you can step on the gas all you want it wont move,,if you let it cool off it will do the same thing.. .I have a feeling it has bad water pump. Could that be the cause of my problem??If not what is??Thanks Id like to drive it for more then 5 minutes

well i dunno about your prob, but to answer ur post
if your water pump is not there, you car WILL overheat and DIE :shocked:

do you mean it won't drive? do you have an automatic transmission?
