88crxsi $2500 b-series or h22a
so heres the deal. i have a chance to get a whole car (94 lude si h22a) for $850 still with complete interior and ALL. ive researched some and found that its a serious swap for my crx si. and has its disadvantages for bein a daily driver. so i made a call to my personal mech. he said he wouldnt recommend it and if i decided otherwise he would swap me the h22a for any d/b/k series motor i wanted that was of equal or lesser value. my deal is i cannot find a d/b/k series motor with the specs of the h22a. i like the numbers that the h22a puts out but also need somethind dependable as which this motor is. but im not 5k wealthy. should i keep the h22a for that kind of price or go ahead and swap for another series? ....please help
you sure he said K? i imagine the K series engine would be as much/ if not more of a pain in the ass to swap into a crx.
go for a first gen b16a ( the one with cable trans) or a d series and turbo it....up to you really

Do you have the REX already. If so get the B16A1 Cable Trans.Your Rex is a light car. Are you putting the swap in yourself? For everyhting you're going to spend at leat close to 3 grand whole swap.Motor,Trans,Ecu,Axles,Shiftlinkage & motor Mounts.I spent $3200.I love it in my Civic Si hatch.Keep in mind w/B16A you can get LSD optional another $250.Also make sure your provider send you a B16 manual ecu & not a auto ecu. If so your reline will be 7.6 instead of 8.2 & regardless which ecu top speed is 110. You can always chip ecu. Good luck
