The stock oil pressure sending unit only senses when the oil pressure is low, it doesn't tell you how much pressure the system is actually at. You will need to install an oil pressure sensor if you are looking to hook an electrical oil pressure guage up to your car.

I have mine mounted to my block with no problems at all. If you really want to make it no hassle, get an oil filter sandwich from Greddy that gives you ports to plug those things into without having to fuss with the oil pressure sensor.

id be really careful about the block thing... I tried it that way first with my autometer setup. after a couple hundred miles, the t fitting i was using broke off inside the block! not a fun time
