Default oil pressue

hello all
can anyone tell me if the u.k integra type r has a oil pressure sender unit as standerd fitment.the thing is i have just got an oil pressure gauge wired in apart from connecting to a sender unit.any help would be great.thanks alot

The stock oil pressure sending unit only senses when the oil pressure is low, it doesn't tell you how much pressure the system is actually at. You will need to install an oil pressure sensor if you are looking to hook an electrical oil pressure guage up to your car.

Just make sure you mount the sending unit to the firewall and NOT directly to the block.. word to the wise!

I have mine mounted to my block with no problems at all. If you really want to make it no hassle, get an oil filter sandwich from Greddy that gives you ports to plug those things into without having to fuss with the oil pressure sensor.

id be really careful about the block thing... I tried it that way first with my autometer setup. after a couple hundred miles, the t fitting i was using broke off inside the block! not a fun time
