I have a wierd situation on my hand.I have a B20B engine with a B16 Head and B18 Transmission and I have modidfied everything for ODB2 and I am using a B16 ecu. I am swapping this into a Civic coupe (originaly a D16). I have gotten the engine in okay. The car turns on but the biggest problem I'm having right now is that I can't get it to stay on unless I set the idle speed to 1200rpm. Once it stays on, the other problem I have is when it gets to operating temperature, it begins to backfire out the intake and exhaust and then turns off. I am using the fuel injectors from the D16, and pretty much everything else is from the B16. Any ideas why the car can't stay on and keeps backfiring? I've been working on this for 5 days now and still can't figure it out. Thanks inadvanced for any help.

 

ur iacv is throwin a code guaranteed as is mine well u need to look up the wire diagram of both the b16 and d16 engine harness pinout 1pin needs to be moved and one cut or moved to dead spot if i find the link ill post it

Hey I just checked again and the only codes its throwing is missfires..is that it? The codes I get are p1337 and p1381...
