You could of broke a conrod(unlikely) or broke a rod bolt. What were you doing while it happened?

my 91 integra lsse started knockin, and it turns out my #2 con rod was shaped like a fish hook, the rod cut a notch in the bottom of the sleeve and the bottom of the piston was bouncing off the counterweights on the crank.

when I bent the rod, the bottom of the piston was worn down by the crank counter weight, so there was aluminum smeared on the counterweight, the rod wore a notch out of the bottom of the sleeve, which cut 2 grooves down the piston skirt. basically I saw the need for a piston and rod, honing the cylinder, and making sure that the smeared metal on the counterweight wouldn't seperate and float around in the motor.

I just found another motor, cause at that point in my life I had more money than time. good luck!
