Default code p1456

99 accord v6, getting a code p1456 (evap system leak detected in fuel tank area), any ideas what to look for and where? note: light came on shortly after a drunken night of leaving gas cap at gas station, since then replaced with new one but not from honda

That's the code you get when the gas tank isn't airtight. Open your new cap, do you hear pressure being released? If so, you're good. If it's not airtight, get one from Honda.

Open right-front door, open fusebox in the end of dashboard near door hinges. Pull fuse #13 for a minute, then put it back. This resets your ECU. Now if you STILL have a problem, the code will come back after several engine-starting cycles.
