Weird vibration
Hey guys,
My 95' SE integra just started making this weird vibartion. The vibration comes and goes once a week or so for the last three weeks, and typically will last 100 miles on a highway, going in between two cities. The vibration only accures when the clutch is engaged and I am hitting the gas. The vibration is also directly related to how much gas I am using. And whats weird is it will just stop randomly on the highway. I thought it might have been a bent rim or rotors but the car doesnt vibrate most the time and when it is vibrating its only when the engine is engaged. If i but the engine in neutral and rev the engine I get nothing. My only guess is the vibration is coming from somewhere in the drive train but I have no clue what it could be. Any help would be great.
Thanks again

When the inner cv goes bad you will get a vibration only when you apply gas, try driving the car at freeway speeds and letting off and on the gas every now and then if the vibration goes away when you let off of the gas pedal then you have a bad inboard cv the question is which one the lt. or rt. cv look at both inner cvs and most likely one or both have spun out the grease if only one is leaking then that is the one that is causing your problem. Try this you dont need to remove the axle take the big band off the inner cv and put in new cv grease if you have the band you can reuse first wrap electrical tape 2-3 times around where the big cv band goes and put then put the band back on this makes the band tighter on the boot if you dont have a reuseable band go to the auto parts store and get a new one.
