Default Charcoal Canister Problems

I have a 1998 integra rs. Lately the check engine light has been coming on. I took it to auto zone and they said i had a problem with my charcoal canister. So i took a look at it. And it turns out that the wires for the canister have been severed. So pops and i decided to sauder the wires. I took it back to auto zone and had the check engine light turned off, but it came back on and it is the same problem. Anyone hve any ideas on how to go about fixing this??

the code is for a leak detected in the charcoal canister area. if you have access to a scanner, it'll be much easier to diagnose, or if you have a toyota evap system leak checker, it'll be much easier. i don't know if honda has one.
