Tools:Has anyone used the Belt Spring Compressor tool?

I was looking at getting a set for my suspension work. Wondered if anyone had experienced any negatives with this set up. Versus your usual clamp style.

Forget it, just found I was looking at the price for the replacement belts($40)....the price for the spring compressors is $450.
I'll stick to the clamps....

I rented mine at autozone for free. That is probably the best option considering you will probably only use it once.

i'm pretty sure the spring compressors he's talking about are the wall mounted kind. the $30 ones are the "clamps" he's talking about.

and yes, by "clamp" , I meant the $30 ones. I'm just going to borrow my buddies based on the fact(as stated above) that I won't rally be needing them that often
