Default thoughts on ctr OS pistons

i need some thoughts on these badboys, are they good enough to put into a ls/vtec that is pretty well built. I personally dont see anything wrong with using these, i mean why would I need forged, im not boosting. come on guys, learn me something here!!

its all decisional as of right now, i am trying to put together a low 13 sec ls/vtec to go into my ej1. Right now, i am thinking omni power valve trane, eagle h-beam rods, undecided pistons, and probably gonna run the stock cams for about a month. I was thinking about girdeling the bottom end, but I am getting a golden eagle guard. There is so much controversial stuff, thats why I am asking about the pistons, maybe I should go with an aftermarket company.

if you're trying to keep the stock bore and get as much compression as possible, ctr's will do that for you.

That is going to be pretty hot compression for a street motor. The P2T pistons are a good choice too. or P73 for even a little lower.

Use the C-speedracing.com compression calculator...

its a b16 head, phiz, are you saying that I shouldnt go with 12.5 to one, even if I have hondata? If so, then I guess I will go with maybe an itr piston, which should be the next step down to 11.5:1 if i remember correctly.

C-Speed is REALLY off when using R pistons, they don't take the compression height into consideration. Use the calculator here:
