i'm assuming that buying a toda belt would solve that, back to my origonal question however, do you think I'd see more ultimate horsepower with a LsVtec with an OEM build (type r parts) or a B16 with a toda spec 3 build?

It has been my observation that Crower (non turbo) cams don't make very good power in comparison to Jun, Toda, or Skunk2.

This is also what I've been told my multiple local dyno shops when I was shopping around for cams to match well with my TWMs. Tom Payn told me to forget about them on a VTEC motor.

While he does have some opinions I disagree with (oversize valves in NA applications ), he seems to have a good grasp of what makes power.

Well for any set of cams that you are paying $1200 for instead of $700, they better make a decent amount more of power. But to say that Crower Vtec cams don't make good power isn't very fair, I have seen my fair share of excellent dyno numbers using them.
