Default d16 question please help!!!

i have a 98 ex motor in a 97 hatch but the rings are fried. i have a old school d16 dohc motor. could i use that block and just have the y8 head for high compresion. if so what kind of wiring would be involved. i already have a conversion harness and p28 ecu installed

does anyone have any idea if this would work
