Imas?

Imas?
A few years ago I heard about a Honda concept car called the IMAS that was supposed to replace the insight and was supposed to get 94 mpg! Did they cancel this plan, or are they just taking their precious time.

Relevance is irrelevant
Well some concepts are never meant for production. In fact the production cars rarely ever closely resemble their concepts.
I think Honda probably just shelved that one for a while, for whatever reason.
Welcome to HAN by the way.

I don't remember the IMAS? Like bluetwo said, most concepts are just that, concept. Typically if they are built, it's just to show off at auto shows around the world and to sometimes test the feasilbity of design and technology ideas with no intention of every actually producing a car like the concept.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but what about the IMAS motor assist system in the car that gave it its 94 mpg? I think they either shelved it, or it was too advanced to be produced. Makes you think about the future of hybrids though.
