I have a 2002 Civic Ex, 1.7 Sohc. Now just today i started noticing that when i step on the accelerator i the car like hesitates or losses power and it comes and goes. I spoke to my uncle and he said it could be the injectors.

I bought one of those over the counter injector cleaners and it doesnt seem to be doing anything. I beleive my wife also told me that the CEL came on flashing like 3 times. I am not sure. does this sound familiar to anyone here?

Or anything else you guys can think of?

if its throwing a CEL, find out what code it is and go from there

 

i checked the codes, not by jumping the cable with the paper clip, but i cant seem to find codes that are for a 2002. most of the codes are to about a 98. anyone have codes for the newer models?

i went and did a fuel injector cleaner and nothing. Guess the prob is bigger than that!

it was the sparkplugs.

actually was not........ The sparkplug change sort of fixed the prob momentaraly. Still there. CEL flashing 16 times. anyone know where i can get CEL codes for 1999-Up Models...

thanks i went to that page but saw that the newest model was like for a 99. Are these codes generic pretty much? Well the code is pretty much what i thought with the fuel injectors. So thanks for reasuring me!
