yes the GSR head will make .2 more compression on a motor than a ITR/B16A head. ITR has a higher dome piston than the GSR that is why it has more compression but put a GSR head on a ITR block you will have closer to 11:1 compression

and no that isn't very impressive for high boost....I know of street tire cars on low boost running that.

so a 10.2 piston in a c5 is the same as a 10.0 gsr piston in a c1, right? (compression wise)

Yes your right, i checked on that. Well I learned something today But yes I don't know the exact times Tony runs, I know he makes a shit load of power and I just figured 11s.

no LS tranny is better for big turbos cause of longer gears....all motor you are goin to want a ITR or B16A tranny
