well should I check it? its brand new, the distributor cap, the rotor button, plugs, wires, and the PCV valve. Could there be a defect? Also what do you guys think about taking it to the Honda dealer, u think they can read the computer for errors if the check engine light isnt on? I dont know how technically advanced the computer systems were in 1992.

Its obd-1, so the only thing they can read is the check engine light if it is comming on. Replace your ignition coil and see if it fixes your problem. (im assuming you have an external coil)

Okay I just got my lude back, it was the ignition module, it is a little card that plugs into the distributor, the mechanic said Honda's are famous for these going bad. The part was only $130.00, it could have been worse.
