Default Aftermarket ignition query.

Do I need to be running an aftermarket piggyback/standalone engine management system to handle the addition of an MSD SCI-L CD ignition?

No, but is there a specific reason why you are adding the aftermarket ignition? OEM honda ignitions are very good.

Save yourself some money, just get a modded distributor cap and use an external coil. MSD sells both items.
