Default b18b1 to a b18b?

So i got a motor from the neighborhood auto solon and they sent me a j-spec engine (b18b). They cxan't tell my mechanic how the hell to switch them and there's no shop in the area that has expirience with swaps. The problem my mechanic had with the motor was the crank sensor on the american block (b18b1). he is uncomfortable putting in the new motor without knowing how to swap the sensor. can any one tell me how to change the sensor and what other problems may exsist?

take the crank sensor out the J-spec one and put on a USDM one that will clip in to your wiring harness

I think the crank sensor swaps with the oil pump, if you're talking about the same sensor I am.

OBD2 car?

Yeah, if the JDM motor doesn't have one then it's the crankshaft fluctuation sensor, and it's part of the oil pump. The oil pumps should be compatible... I'm not sure what you mean about different teeth.
