i just did a compression test and it was 180 across.. spark plug for cylinder two was black, oil black.. i know for sure that oil is leaking somewhere from cylinder two.. my only problem is could it be a bad piston ring or valve ring?? please help..

If the compression test was 180 across...I don't think it would be the piston ring. White smoke...head gasket leak? Getting coolant into your cylinder... Check your coolant to see if it is changing colors..

Was the engine cold when you did the compression test? 200 is normal, so if it was cold, that could be pretty normal.
