d16z6 head on a d15b2?

Default d16z6 head on a d15b2?

ok i have a 88 crx dx with a d15b2 and it really sux at life it has no power i was wondering if i can put a d16z6 vtec head on this block and just run a oil line on the back of the motor and an oil regulator to run the vtec part someone please let me know i need to do somethinng to this gutless wonder!!!1

Yes you can put a d16z6 on your b2 but the only thing you have to remove from the block is the oil jet which looks like this

use a flat head screwdriver to pry it out but be careful. You will also need to convert dpfi to mpfi. Then to hook up the vtec get a vafc, or fields vtec controller, or an activated rpm switch from summit racing which is like $45. Use a pm6 ecu (a.k.a 88-91 crx/civic si) to stay obd0.

wonderfull what kid of horsepower gain am i going to get from this?
is it even worth it?

As far as horsepower gain you will feel it but im not sure how much horsepower number wise. I think your compression will be a little higher but if you want to check this setup in mathematical terms then go to this website http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/D.htm
