Default 2nd gen itr?

hi i was wondering if it was possible to swap in a itr engine into a 92 rs? if so, what is needed for the conversion? thanks

sure it is possible....just need the mounts, and some fun wiring.

^how would i know which mounts to get? just get the mounts thats meant for tha itr engine? or would i need some kind of custom mounts? sorry, i'm n00by

any B series mounts I believe, but I would use the HASport mounts. Also you wil have to either buy the HASport hydro to cable conversion, or you have to find a cable driven tranny. I would rec. either the USDM b17a tranny for its gearing, or the JDM first gen b16a cable tranny with LSD. There is also a bunch of OBD converting....etc etc

o yea and can itrs be automatic? cuz somebody just told me itrs HAD to be manual.. and i just don't quite believe it

lol i c... so theres no way to drive an automatic type r? cuz that would mean i'd have to swap it AND convert it to a manual.. if ya'll were to give me an estimate on how much all of that would cost, how much would ya'll think it'd be?

more than it is worth.....especially for a hype R motor.
