Default Engine Rebuild

Hello!! My name is Luke and im new to the forum. I ahve recently bought a 96 Civic DX with 206,000 miles. I have all the original matenence records, it still has the factory clutch, drive train, and axels with only regular matenece needed. it still drives as if new. i boght the car because my 93 Probe Gt blew a rod berring. blah

But Any heres my question. I have been reading through several forums and topics over the past 6 hours. I noticed that a engine swap isnt nessisarily the best thing recommended for what i want. I plan to eventually go turbo. In order to do a proper rebuild which items should i be most concerned with? Is it nessisary to get sleeved and a new crank? What about heads, should i stick with the factory non vtec head or can a i get a dohc non vtec head? Would putting on a EX sohc vtec head be too much trouble when it comes time to put a turbo on and do tunning? Im aming for about a 13 second car.

I need to have this car be reliable as a dailiy driver, so if 13 seconds is too steep of a goal i have no problem with that. I just want to have the fasteset and most reliable for my application, I mean doesnt everybody lol
