valve cover gasket?

Default valve cover gasket?

do i have to apply any type of appoxi or silicon on the gasket? or do i just take the old off and apply the new?

thanks i just bought a 89 accord lx for $ 75 and it runs good but needs a valve cover gasket , could that lead to oil leaking? cuz thier is oil around the headers and it burns ?

that is a possibility. you'd have to look to see where it comes from.

you don't need silicone or any sort of sealant. just make sure the old gasket is taken completely off and clean the surface off of all debris before applying new gasket. It could cause an oil leak, you gotta look though, can only tell by being there.

Make sure you also get the gaskets for the spark plug well's. Normally if the valve cover is leaking, so are the seals in the plug well's. They also set in the valve cover, very easy to replace.
