some quick questions

OK, this is my first swap. I probably have some stupid questions but here goes:

I am swapping a 96 LS Teg motor into a 95 DX. The swap came with an auto tranny but I am looking to sell that for a manual. The DX already has a manual tranny in it. My question is, can I run the LS motor with the manual tranny with the original ECU from the auto? I've read about non-VTEC to VTEC ECU change out but we arent dealing with a VTEC change or a change in the fuel maps.

I was also wondering if the wiring plugs on the DX would plug into the LS ECU or if I had to go the distance and mate the two wiring harness's?

also, will the axles from the auto tranny work with the manual?

you will need the ecu from a manual
yes the ecu will plug right into the dx harness
you cannot use the auto half shaft on the manual, but I do beleive the axles are the same.

that is correct.

double check on the axles though, see if the part numbers are the same. I know for a fact the half shaft doesnt work, but the axles may not work as well. Also when you get the manual tranny make sure it has the tranny motor mount. The automatic mount is a little different.
