Default engine swap

has any body done an engine swap from a d16y8 atomatic to b18a standard or some thing beter? I call the shop and they tell me that all they need is everithing from the clip back? also how mych should I expect to pay?

Yes, you need a complete swap, or a front cut/front clip would be nice, along with quite a few parts from a manual car.

A B18B swap will run around $1k. A full front clip, probably more like $2-3k.

Learn how to get it in yourself. That'll save you $500-1000 on installation.

Thats a non-vtec motor, lookin more around 1500 prob for that front clip(motor,trans,ecu), and dont just throw a motor in a car, consider cluch, urithane mounts, lightened flywheel, axels. and get into it will save alot if you get your hands dirty, if you dont kno what your doing dont do ityourself, a shop by me does 775 for install of b-series, and 900 for for h series, but only 100 for install of cluch since the motor is already out, and if its non-vtec to vtec thats hard stuff,

not saying that all nonvtec motors are going to be that cheep
