Since i have owned my car (2months) it has had trouble starting. It will crank, fire than die. But when it does start its a rough start as in the entire car shakes and if i give it any gas it will sputter and then die out. My mechanic told me it was more than likely the fuel pump (wasn't buzzing anymore) so i replaced it with a walbro 255. After finishing i tried to start my car and no luck. The car is doing the exact thing it was doing before i changed the pump. But you can here it buzzing loud as heck now, so i know the pump is fine. Any ideas?

I need to get my car back on the road, and if problems presist than the car will go up for sale. Oh, and its a 89 EF w/ b16A.

Humm you should check the spark plugs, distro, cables. It sounds to me like it's not getting enough spark.

 

checked all of that. Spark is fine. I believe the pump is fouling out the plugs and causing it to not start. Im just going to buy an adjustable FPR and set it how it should be. Hopefully this will fix everything.

 

Fuel filter? Oil level good?

 

how much do u want for it, if that doesnt fix it?
