Did you check the injectors or the FPR? You could be getting fuel to the filter, but it still may not be getting to the cylinders.

The reasons for a no start would usually be caused by a lack of spark or lack of fuel.

A rather common problem is that the ignitor (it's part of the distributor) goes bad which prevents the car from starting.

FPR = fuel pressure regulator

You need air, spark, fuel, and compression to start an engine. Are you 100% sure that you have spark? Have you taken the plugs out and tested to see if they are sparking?

HEY....mrfatbooty or westcoaststyle...hope u can help me...

Story: I was gonna check if one of my cylinders was sparking, so i took the plug out while it was running(this was the third cylinder...at least i think it was...the cylinder 3rd if u start counting from the left...i have a D16Z6). Anyway...when i took it out the car stalled and now i cannot start it.

tell me about the ignitor?

i am getting NO spark whatsoever from all 4 plugs.

That rules out wire failure and plug failure(no way all 8 components can go wrong at the same time)

Is this igniter replaceable? Or do i need a whole new distributor?

Dave

Were you grounding the plugs while you had them connected? They have to be touching a ground to fire. h:

I might have an extra ignitor. If one of you guys needs one to test to see if that's the problem, let me know and we'll work something out.
