Default buying a JDM motor

I'm planning on buying a 1st gen B16a for my CRX by the end of the summer because my D16A6 is slowly dying I think, but I want it gone anyways. I was wondering if I should do anything to be safe when I get it. Would it be worth doing piston rings, new bearings, making sure the valvetrain is all set, etc. Do they sell rebuild kits? Are the motors usually all set and in good shape? Because they claim they all have low miles but I doubt that from a 90 or 91 car. I know its a good idea to do stuff like the timing belt, clutch, pull the head off and look at the pistons, and do a head gasket. I want something that's going to last 50,000 miles with good maintanence with any internals going bad that's still driven hard on a regular basis. Also I was wondering if I ever need to get parts is everything for the B16A2 Del Sol going to do the job because its probably a pain and expensive to get parts from Japan. Thanks.

definitely do the timing belt and water pump. Might be a good idea to check the clutch too.

Do a compression test, if it looks good, then don't bother with the rebuild. I wouldn't even bother pulling off the head if the compression and leakdown are OK.
