Default Engine Problems H22A not being able to run better than a 16. Please Help

Hey guys went to the track today and my best run was a 16.196. I don't know what the hell went wrong. My R/T was .379, 60' was 2.316, 300 6.692, 1/8 10.317, MPH 67.75, 1000 13.488, 1/4 was 16.195 at 83.46 MPH.

I don't know about you but I'm like what the hell! It felt as if Vtec was not kicking in. Also about how long is the car supposed to sit in 2nd gear? I barley got into 3rd and than crossed the line. I don't know what was going on. Please help.

Also the last race I dropped from 3200 and it just like totally frikin died. Like it was weird. The car didn't die and the rpm's didn't race but the car went no where. I put it into 2nd and started from there and it went. Than on the ride home. Starting out if first there is this really horrible like grinding sounds like nails on a chalk board. It only does it in first though. Trans or clutch?

Current mods- 1995 H22A swap, DC Sport 4-2-1 Ceramic headers, AEM CAI, Apexi cat-back, MSD 6Al, NGK wires, Bosch +4 (someone tell if you use these or like them, if not what would you recommend changing to) My O2 sensor was shot so i bought a new Bosch O2 sensor and hooked it up. (also have a A/F gauge) And it does not read right.

please i need some help really bad.

Check engine light on?

Is the VTEC wired and working?

What elevation is the track?

Something is seriously wrong, my car ran faster then that stock, with a clogged exhaust system.

Kinda reminds me of that new Prelude I saw on the dyno a few weeks ago. An H22A that put down a whopping 117hp. :chuckles:

Ya the Vtec seemed to be working before i went to the track. The strip is 787 above. The check engine light was on for the O2 sensor. I just installed a new one and there is no check engine light anymore. I jumped it for codes at the strip but there was nothing.

Should i do a compression test? or what do you think?

Well i am getting a really weird noise in first when starting out. Its like a grinding. It is a stage4 tho so i do not see how it went crazy on me. Do i need to get a whole new clutch kit or maybe just a disk and throw out? Also the spark plugs are total shit. don't get them! Its not even been 3K miles and they are shot.

Arent Stage 4 clutches for FI cars or Nitrious?
Correct me if im wrong but doesn't your engine need to push a bit harder if you have a stage 4 clutch.
Since the damping force on that clutch is greater to hold down the power?
