b16a2 into 95 civic ex
Hey guys I have a 95 civic ex coupe and one of ma friends is giving me his 2000 si block for free, So i would like to know exactly what parts (head, manifold, transmission?, ecu, axles?, etc) would i need to complete the b16a2 swap.
What is included with the block? Just the block itself? If it's just the actual block and internal parts (crank, pistons, rods ...) your going to need a lot of parts. Head, intake and exhaust manifolds, all sensors, distributor, throttle body, fuel injectors and rail, B-series transmission, clutch, flywheel, axles and shift linkage. Basically everything involed in a swap except the block itself. Very few parts (aside from a few sensor and a few mounts) can be re-used from your EX's engine.

dont forget you have to convert your OBD2 to OBD1 to run correctly, I did this swap before and there were a few problems I ran in to that im trying to find out as we speak, if you if you need more info I have a forum up at clubcivic.com under 5th Gen. same name read it, it may help. You will need quite a bit of stuff just to complete the motor. I also heard of a jumper harness you could use to convert to OBD1.
