Just curious how reliable is your motor after a turbo upgrade, please comment on your experiences with motor, tranny, drive shafts, etc.

I have 102k on my motor and I know a compression test is a must before going FI, any other musts for getting ready for FI?

 

Depends on the motor. I had a stock LS motor with 75,000 rigged up to a t-28 and it lasted about 50,000 miles. I also had a Si motor with a little head work with a T3 setup that ran for about 12,000 miles before it spun a bearing. So it all depends on what motor and setup you have.

 

Thanks for the input.. so it sounds like a turbo B series would be a time bomb? It would also depend on how much boost, I guess, what kinda boost did you run with your setups?
