Default B18C1 Crank Girdle

How good is the Z10 girdle? Is it worth $230?

I'll be running about 400+ whp. Thoughts?

Your stock GS-R comes with a fairly stout block girdle. If you wanted to upgrade, I'd suggest buying the ITR girdle. The only thing you'd be saving by going to another 3-main girdle is weight.

How does the ITR girdle differ from the GSR girdle? Thanks for the input.

I wondered the same thing. I'd think that they were the same. Also, can you install the Z10 by just pulling the oil pan?

D'oh! It doesn't. I saw a picture for a company that sold "replacement girdles" for the B18C5, that went all the way across all five bearings. After consulting the Helms, I've gone back to sticking my foot in my mouth.

That being said, unless you're looking to shed weight, your stock B18C1 girdle is fine.

Yes, but you'd have to remove the windage tray and oil pickup too.

Thanks for the update, TheRooster. Takes a real man to admit his mistakes.... loser. :db:

www.z10eng.com is where those images above are from. There's some others out there as well, but I don't remember the sites off the top of my head.
