in a civic/teg a H22 is sick. the only problem is finding a nice low mileage USDM 99-01 H22 to make everything legal. or you could always go with an older JDM motor and switch to OBDI, but since your car is not that old i would figure you would want a motor closer in age to your car.

I got a 94 Teg with a H22A. This is a rocket. Cost about $6000 with the motor to be installed.

Default teg h22 swap

yes its worth it i got in my 94 gsr.. i have an jdm h22a .... my best run is 12.6
with slicks and without slick i run low 13's... things you need..
-motor mounts ( i went with the best place racing )
-90-97 accord 5 speed manual shifter assembly
-custom axles ( i went with hasport will work with stock prelude intermediate shaft )
-rewire wireharness for you..you need the obd2 to obd1 conversion.. if you go with the 92-96 jdm h22a..
-radiator like fluidyne,koyo
-slim fan ( fal fan )because it real tight with the headers
-prolly have to replace your clutch upgrade it cus your gonna need it with all that power... u can upgrade your flywheel or resurface it..
-need to make custom exhaust to bolt on to headers
-custom intake but aem makes a hybrid for the complete swap

i spent alot of money on mines but it worth it and you can imagine if you went turbo..my mods are..

-place racing motor mounts
-hasport level2 axles
-act clutch and act 8.5 flywheel
-apexi worldsport exhaust
-hotshot drag 4-1 headers
-twm individual throttle bodies w/ high volume fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator and golden eagle vacuum canistor
-aem stand alone fuel management system
-fluidyne radiator
-fal dual fan
-rc 370cc injectors
-walbro 255lph fuel pump
-aem adjustable cam gears
-unorthodox racing ultra ss pulleys
-str cam seal
-dc sports upper strut bar and rear upper and lower strut bar
-dc short shifter adaptor
-b&m short shifter lever
-kms egr block off plate
-tein adjustable coilover system
-running stock internals top and bottom..
next step is......
-5 angle valve job with oversize 1mm valves
-crower stage 3 n/a cams
-crower stage 3 valve springs and retainers
-crower stage 3 oversize 1mm valve stems
-je pistons 11:5:1 pistons rings..bored at .50 over
-eagle h beam rods
-ge sleeves
-ge blockguard
