Default B-16 clutch

I own a B-16 powered 91' Integra. For the last two months or so I have noticed my cluch slipping. I kinda put it at the end of a long list of things to do. Unfortunatly tonight when I got off work I found my clutch is pretty much completely gone. I barely got home. Anyways I did a forum search To see what clutch I need to buy (not sure if all b series clutches are the same). One guy said that the 92' 93' GSR clutch is what I would need not to sure what to do . Should I get a GSR clutch or a Del Sol clutch? Any help would be greatly appreciated

For some reason, I remember reading that some first gen B16A's had a different spline count on the shaft coming out of the tranny than other B-series trannies. I'm not sure if that is true or not however (I'm assuming your B16A and tranny are JDM pieces). I haven't worked on a swap like that myself yet. I ran a clutchmasters stage 3 clutch in my '92CX / '95 B18C1 hybrid and I was very happy with it. I used a CM aluminum flywheel too. Here's the link for their site.

I'd consider giving them a call or email them and ask a source directly. I'd recommend you buy from one of their dealers as you'll get a better price but they can probably tell you the best clutch for your application. Sorry I don't have more info.

I was happy with mine. I believe it said it was 9 pounds with a replaceable steel friction surface. I only had it for a few thousand miles before my car was wrecked.

Just out of curiousity, what clutch did you buy and is it the same as any other B-series setup? I actually need a new clutch for my '98 EX daily driver (stock motor for now). I just started researching them.

I got an ACT stage 2. I think it was a little pricey and I heard some bad things about the design. But I was in a pinch and needed it asap. As far as compatability I am not sure but I think they are (b series clutches) the same. Im still trying to figure out if I can use any b series flywheel with the clutch I just bought. I will let you know if I find out though.

the first gen b16a's use a different clutch than the hydro tranny. I would recomend using a clutch/flywheel combo made for the b17a or b18a egines
