Default Civic Engine swap help

hey,

i was just wondering if anyone knew where i could find info on engine swaps like the differences of the d16z whatever and all that stuff... and what engines can fit in a 00 civic ex

If you're looking for d-series engine info, check with d-series.org. There's tons of info on that forum. You won't find much here.

If you're just talking about direct bolt in engines then you can only fit in d engines. Otherwise if you want to put any other series engine for example b-series, you have to buy aftermarket mounts from like ha-sport.

There is only one "D16Z" engine in this country, the D16Z6. 125 flywheel horsepower, single overhead cam VTEC.

wait if he has a 92-00 civic, wouldn't any B-Series be a direct swap

It's not direct because you still need those aftermarket b-series conversion mounts.

For a 92-95, a mix-match of 94+ Integra mounts and the stock Civic mounts can be used, I assume it is the same for the 96-00's. The only aftermarket mount (and conversion parts) you would need would be one for a cable transaxle if you decide you use one for some reason.
