Default B-16A gear ratio's

Is 85 mph at 5000 rpm in fifth gear sound about right? It seems pretty high to me even for such low gearing.

that's pretty close. mine is about that. the stock tack is off by a few hundred rpm's at that point. my vafc says it's closer to 4800.

I seem to recall 80 mph in my old '92 GSR which had a B17A and gear ratios very similar to the JDM B16 gearboxes, turned over about 4600 rpm. 5th gear might not be exactly the same as in whatever particular B16 transmission you have (and there are a bunch of different ones).

New to the forum here. Just curious. Does 85mph in 5th at 3900rpm's sound familiar to anyone? Oh, it's in an '89 CRX Si.

I have S1 tranny and I think 85mph at 5000rpms is about right.
