Default Crank pully help

I recently bought a unorthodox racing crank pulley and the other day i tried to put it on but could not get the crank bolt to loosen. I know it comes off i had it off when i changed my cam out 2 months ago. and i did not jam on the bolt too badly putting it back on, but i cant for the life of me get the bolt off this time. I tried an impact and two breaker bars which i broke both bars at the swivel point.. And when i tried locking the flywheel i cracked a piece of the bellhouseing off... now im pissed and need some sort of input on what i should try next. thanks...

did you put any air tool oil in it before using it? The air vanes need lubrication to get maximum force

500 pounds of force still didn't move it?? Yea, check the wrench, that force should be enough, since the nut is only initially torqued down to 150 pounds. hehe...amazing how reverse-motion threads work

If the engine is still in the car and connected to the driveline, put the car on the ground, in fifth gear, chock the back tires and have a buddy mash the breaks. You'll need at least a 3/4" drive socket, about two feet of extension, and a breaker bar at least 18" long (the longer the better). It sounds like a bit of juryrigging, but my buddy and I use it every weekend in our troubleshooting rituals and the bolt comes off and goes back on, no problems. (Having a 30" long torque wrench doesn't hurt either)

With a good 1/2" impact wrench you should be able to get it off.
I tried a 5' pipe on a breaker bar and it wouldnt budge.
I took it to my mechanic and he took it off in 5 seconds. I asked him what if he couldnt get it off with his 1/2" impact wrench and he pulled out a 1" impact wrench.

I have used the 5th gear trick and have broken all of my 3/8 inch drive sockets and breaker bars, next i went to the 1/2 and broke the bit and the bar again, the next thing ill try is oiling the gun, or buying a 3/4 drive set,

LOL, geez man, hope all that stuff was craftsman or snap-on so you can get it replaced for nil.

 bleh! Sounds like the bolt corroded itself into the hole. We used to 5th gear job as a last result when I first pulled mine, and luckily it worked. Have you soaked the bolt in anything like Wd40 or AeroKreoil? I'd suggest the latter if you can find it. It displaces water and lubricates down to a tiny tiny tiny level. We use it on the helos all the time for our stuck bolts. The only other suggestion I have is to rent a torque multiplier. It basically snaps onto your ratchet and multipies whatever torque you put on it by 2 or 3 or 5 or 10 or whatever the setting is. They use them a lot in aviation for prop bolts and the jesus bolts that attach the rotor to helo. The only risk you run with one of those is shearing the head of the bolt off.
When you do get the bolt out, be sure to chase the threads on it, and in the hole... just to clean whatever corrosion you have, and help prevent new corrosion from forming. Good luck.
