I found an B16A2 motor in mint condition, but there is one problem..Usually B16A2's redline are on 8200rpm. This motor doesnt do more than 6500rpm, what do you guys think is the problem? Is this a ECU problem? Please help!

like what vehicle its in (si or swapped)
MIL lights?
just give a brief description of the situation with technical details.
my h22 would redline at 6500 whenever my air filter fell off the end of the pipe (goddamn ebay shit), i eventually got a AEM to fix that problem.

Its not swapped, its from factory in the Civic VTi (EG9). It have 130,000km on it. Do it make sense if the motor were stock or if there was some other cam's..and other motor trims..?

I asked him, he said..
He didnt drive it up to 8200rpm too much, he drove it nice and gently. But the thing happened when he changed the stock cam's to enem cam's. And its exactly like a usual redline, but at 6500rpm instead of 8200rpm.
What is this weird problem!?

most likely when he put his distributor back on he advanced it by mistake.
another possibility is that the cams were not installed correctly and the sprockets are incorrect by a tooth or two on the timing belt.

Make sure he doesn't have any codes. ON certain codes the ECU will never let VTEC enguage and the redline will be around 6500-ish.
