Default Edelbrock intake manifold for D16Y8

I just finished reading through the lastest issue of Import Tuner. They tested a new Edelbrock intake manifold for a D16Y8. The dyno showed +5hp for it. Anyone have any opinions on it? Unfortunatly, it didn't show the MSRP for it.

Discuss

It is supposed to sell for around $300. I dont think they are readily available yet, except for the ones that come with the edelbrock turbo kit.

The Performer X looks like much more of a naturally aspirated manifold than the Victor X (B-series manifold). Actually, it seems rather small in all respects. Seems it would be good for low-boost turbo systems as well as moderate NA buildups.

If you're pushing a lot of power I'd look for something more aggressive.

I can easily believe the power gain on virtually any buildup, considering the design of the OEM d16 manifolds. You'd pick up horsepower even with just I/H/E.

I wonder what the bore of the manifold is.
