ok i have a 1998 hond civic lx acembled in canida, with a cracked header and if anyone knows thees cars, or a small group of these cars (dont know) the header and cat are built as one peice. so.... i need a new one but, i just got a quote today of 530 bucks. so i wanted to know if anyone knows of a aftermarket setup that would fix my problem and at the same time, let my engine breath better for less then 530$.

 

I heard at one point there was a service bulletin put out for the issue of the header cracking, you might want to ask a honda dealership, because they were covering the repair out of warranty.

yea we found that out, but that is only up to 80k miles, and our car has about 100k miles.

 

I'll talk to a friend who has a HX manifold which should be the same. Just for clarification, is your o2 sensor right at the front of the manifold?

 

Hey... I've got one lying around in my basement. I took it off my car about 2 weeks after having it replaced on warranty and swapped it out for a header. I'll sell it to you for 100$+ shipping. It has somewhere around 1000 miles on it so it's practically new.
