Default Cleaning Fuel Injectors

What is the most effective way to clean my injectors. I have the head off the car, so I would like to remove the injectors and clean them really well. One of the cylinders had a white residue (lean condition) so I'm thinking that particular injector may be partially clogged. Anyway, does anyone have any good ideas on how to do this?

Thanks.

Three easy steps.

1) Remove injectors and place in a box
2) Mail box and some money to RC Engineering.
3) Reinstall when they come back.

Professional cleaning is the only way to really clean injectors.

Really? What's the going rate on something like that? Would it be more cost effective to just buy new ones?

*edit* never mind... found it on the RC site $24-$28.50 per injector.

Not bad at all, considering how much RC Engineering wanted to do it.

What do you think the best cleaner is that you pour in the tank? I've used lucas. It seems to work the best.

From what I've heard, the Chevron Techron additive is the only one worth using. Strangly enough, it's the only one Mazda recommends to use in their cars. Most of the others are just bottles of kerosene and the like, more of a placebo then anything.

We've had luck with soaking the injectors in a shallow pan of fuel system cleaner and an old tooth brush...
