I need to ask this question to get you guys/gals advice. I have a 1 gen b16 in my 91 civic si that was swapped in 04. I don't know which transmission came with it s1 or j1 because didn't have a badge . I know in 5 th gear @ 80 tach was 4K. I had my transmission replaced a few yrs ago & i now have a Y1 non lsd which has y1 gold plate badge. Now my question is i need a passenger axle which boot completely split & grease spitting out.
Now since my swap didn't come with the y1 transmission how can I tell what shaft I have so I can buy the proper axle to have to shop replace it.
I have read that if you have a y1 transmission & sh3 intermediate shaft I'll need 89 teg axle on drivers side & a 90 teg axle on pass side. I'm also aware that the dust shield need to be removed before installing new axle.
I just wanna order the proper axle & be done.
