I was wondering if the K20 engine, either the typeS or even better the typeR would fit into the newer stlye Civic Coupes....I ask, becuz I'm starting to see a lot of the, HFP Civic Coupes in my neighborhood, and I'm basically wondering if such a swap is possible, and if so, is the swap just as easy as dropping any of the B-series engines into the older style Civics....thanks....

 

Deffinately possible. Its been done a few times. I think hasport has one....

 

my friend has one... its in a 2000 Civic EX w/K20A you will like it.. its fast as F*CK!!!!!

i didn't watch it get dropped in.. but from what i see its a VERY tight fit. he had a turbo kit on it but some F*CKS steal shit and they jacked his intercooler, piping, boost gauge.. and the f*cks even cut his wire harness... i hate thiefs. he got $1800 for everything that got stolen so that was good. i love the K series motors.. this is what he has and what he put down roughly ( i kinda forgot but its around my guess)

-Cold Air Intake
-Jackson Racing Header
-Hondata ECU
-Full Greddy exhaust

roughly he put down 226whp, don't remember torque so i won't even say it. once again, do it you won't regret the time and money.
