If i were to floor it right when i start my car after its been sitting for a few hours, the vtec doesnt kick in. It kind of sounds as if the vtec is almost "sticking" It doesnt make the noise its sapposed to. Instead of the sound increasing it sounds as if its stuck. just one loud noise. any ideas whats up?
Engine must reach a specified oil pressure level before VTEC will engage, simply because VTEC is an oil activated system. If there isn't enough pressure, then the dowels won't lock the rockers together.
