Default (suspension tech) Change the compensator arms

Yep, not Engine Tech, but this should be a pretty generic topic for Honda/Acura vehicles. And since we have one of each in the garage, I figured I should ask here instead of in one of the specific forums.

Anyway, I'm going to have the rear trailing arms off of the GSR in a few weeks, because the big bushings in them are SHOT, coming to pieces, with big visible tearing in the rubber. And this is on a not-thrashed well-treated car with 90K miles.

I'm about to order polyurethane bushings to put in there, and I already have poly bushings to do most of the rest of the rear suspension.

So along with the trailing arm bushings, there is also the question of the compensator arm bushings. I can't tell if the CA bushings are OK or not, unless I take the trailing arm off first. Those don't come as part of the Energy master kit. Wondering if I should order them just in case. I have no idea how long the CA bushings typically last.

Also wondering if it even makes sense to use poly bushings in such a minor part of the suspension -- maybe I should just replace the compensator arm on each side with OEM. It's something like $35 a side.

OEM is fine, and you may just replace all of your bushings in the rear, its very good preventative maintenance

Those bushings in the trailing arms are shit, end of story. I'm very much not surprised they're coming apart on you.

The trailing arm replacements don't come as part of the ES master set 'cause they're rather expensive. Personally, I'd pick up the ES master and then the Prothane units for the trailing arms. The Prothanes come with upgraded metal bits so you don't have to clean & re-use the OEM metal.
