Has any1 sold their hybrid cars?
I wanted to spend about 9k total on a civic with a gsr swap and i was woundering if i tried to sell it what would i get? shit probually...has any1 sold their hybrid if so how much did you lose?
You'll never get back what you put into it and it's a lot harder to sell a hybrid because there are very few buyers out there interested. Most people hear a cars been modified and go looking elsewhere. If you can find a buyer who understands what he's buying and assuming you've spent the money and done a good job, I'd say you'll probably get around 65%-75% back. That buyer will be hard to find and most hybrid have better luck parting everything out.
What year Civic are you planning to swap? I'm assuming a '92-'95, but the problem with those is there getting old. The cars themselves aren't worth that much anymore. You can find a decent one for $2000 nowadays (even less if you take some dings).

I am going to be losing a bit on mine when it sells but then that is the nature of the game really....don't put in what you can't afford to lose.

i invested around 8000 including the car and had it appraised at 6100
on a side note have your car appraised it helps when you wreck it (they were only gonna give me 2800 for it and that was including the swap). and give the appraiser a list and price of everything done to the car. i learned this the hard way when some stupid f*ck ran a red light and destroyed my hatch

i probably put about 10k into my car about 4k in fines and repairs i drive alittle too aggressively sometimes and i got screwed on my first b16, linkage, harness and mounts. My cars probably worth $1500-$2000 but i dont really car because i've gotten to use is for what i built it for. If you built a car just to drive it around and you spend crazy amounts that you don't need to whats the point so what if you beated a couple of v8's at a light. I've feel if you built your car for a purpose the money you lose at the end you really didnt lose cause you got thousands of $$$ worth of enjoyment out of it. <<<<never selling my hybrid by the way.
