Default engine starting problem

I'll try to make this clear as possible.

I jus swapped a 99 gsr into my 99 civic.

The swap went fine and everything runs smooth. Until one day i got my Obd 1 plugged in. The day i plugged my p72 Obd1 in, eveytime i start my car, it would have a hard time staring. And when it does start it sound like the car is suffering. the Rpm would be way below normal that the engine dies out. I would have too hold the gas jus too keep the rpms going. I would be doing this for about 30sec to a minute. Then when i feel that the rpm would hold i would let the gas go and let the rpm idle at normal (800-1200). Then the engine would sound like my cams were off..and the exhaust has this weird smell. During all this the rpms would jump from 800 to 1500 and back down for about 30 sec...than it becomes normal. The car runs fine after that. But since i got my P72 Obd1, it's been acting like that.

this is what i have in my car:
Ram air
Dc headers
Msd plugs and wires
exhaust
(i only got the basic stuff)

What we did so far to try and figure out what the problem was:

Change spark plugs
change fuel filter
change map sensor
